Re: Hints & Tips
A few tips accrued from t'internet and my own experience
Some noobish ones, but a few things I didn't know too.
May need verification on some of these.
1. Reload twice. If you empty your clip then reload you get a full clip (30 bullets or whatever), if you reload again you get an extra bullet in the chamber. Could make all the difference.
2. Spot before you shoot, or after you shoot, just spot. In normal mode all friendly troops can see the enemy location on the map and their 3D map too. In hardcore mode it still helps, though specifically it helps with your friendly air support. Bear in mind there is a limit on how much you can spam the spot button before it stops responding. 2 or 3 presses in quick succession is about the limit I think.
3. Drop your deployables, when you spawn, when near a group of friendlies, after a gun battle, all over the place. Keep your eyes peeled for icons on soldiers as they will clue you in to who needs what and when.
4. Be aware of your loadout. If you have a tac light or laser sight equipped bear in mind when you spawn it will be switched on. Depending on the map and your location this may act as more of a detriment to your survival than an advantage.
5. If you are playing as recon class remember to put your spawn beacon down. Hidden locations are best. I have heard that when you spawn on a mobile spawn point you face to the left of the direction the spawn point was put down. E.g. if you want the spawnees to face north then face East when you put it down.
6. Keep an eye on the mini-map, spotted enemies will appear hear.
7. If you are squad leader you can set objectives using the spot button. This gives any of your squad bonus points when attacking/defending that objective and also makes it easy for everyone to know where they are going.
8. You can equip the knife by holding down RB.
9. Some weapons have different fire modes (full auto, semi auto and single shot) selected by using down on the D-pad. For greater accuracy reduce the fire mode, single shot is most accurate, full auto is least accurate.
10. You can prime the throw of a grenade by using RT at the same time as LB, release RT to throw the nade.
11. Listen to the sounds. If you don’t have a headset this can be tricky, but if you are playing on the Russian team and you hear an American shout you know the enemy is nearby.
12. Apparently TDM is a quick way to level up weapons, seems like a good suggestion.
13. If you are SL in normal mode you can spawn on any other SL in the game.
14. If you are SL try to stay alive (note to self ) then your squad can spawn on you.
15. If you are NOT SL spawn on the SL whenever possible (another note to self).

Re: Hints & Tips
Superb vids, cheers Nova. I'd never even thought of making it rain buildings. The enemy team had better bring along some sturdy umbrellas next time I'm on.
